Natural Resources Evaluation Specialist For Performance Evaluation , Tanzania

ME&A is recruiting an Evaluation Specialist for two performance evaluations of two USAID natural resource management projects in Tanzania. Of the projects to be evaluated, one works in critical watershed areas in order to support the delivery of sustainable, market-driven water supply, sanitation, and hygiene with an overall goal of improving health and increasing economic resiliency in targeted rural areas. The second project aims to sustain the flow of environmental goods and services, reverse the trend of environmental destruction of critical coastal habitats, and improve the wellbeing of coastal residents in the specific regions. Findings and recommendations from both evaluations will contribute to the development of an integrated coastal water resource management program.

The candidate must have extensive experience designing evaluations. Other qualifications for the candidate include:

Must have at least 8 years of experience in designing evaluations;

Significant experience working on data collection;
Knowledge and experience in the area of coastal resource management and water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects is preferred;
At least a Master’s degree in statistics, social sciences or other relevant areas is required;
Past experience evaluating projects in Africa is preferred.
The evaluation has an estimated overall timeframe of 9 weeks and is set to begin mid-June.
