Local Environmental, Energy And Natural Resource Management Analyst For Performance Evaluation , Tanzania

ME&A is recruiting a Local Environmental, Energy and Natural Resource Management Analyst for Performance Evaluation for two performance evaluations of two USAID natural resource management projects in Tanzania. Of the projects to be evaluated, one works in critical watershed areas in order to support the delivery of sustainable, market-driven water supply, sanitation, and hygiene with an overall goal of improving health and increasing economic resiliency in targeted rural areas. The second project aims to sustain the flow of environmental goods and services, reverse the trend of environmental destruction of critical coastal habitats, and improve the wellbeing of coastal residents in the specific regions. Findings and recommendations from both evaluations will contribute to the development of an integrated coastal water resource management program. The candidate must have extensive experience working on environmental, energy and natural resource management projects. Other qualifications for the candidate include:

• Significant knowledge and experience working on environmental, energy and/or natural resource projects in Tanzania or surrounding regions;
• Knowledge and experience in the area of coastal resource management and WASH projects is preferred but not required;
• Evaluation and/or data collection knowledge and experience is desired but not required;
• Knowledge of gender and/or climate change as a cross-cutting element of developmental issues is desired but not required.
• Must be fluent in English.

The evaluation has an estimated overall timeframe of 9 weeks and is set to begin mid-June.
