As a Client Technical Professional, you are IBM’s technical consultant to our clients, IBM sales teams and/or IBM Business Partners. You will learn the client's business requirements, technical requirements and/or competitive landscape and apply industry-specific knowledge and experience to bring new business and technology insights to your assigned clients. You will be responsible for providing technical sales support, which may include: collaborating with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions; delivering Proof of Concept; developing and delivering technical education; supporting critical situations; designing solutions; and answering technical questions. When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, you will also be responsible for the technical accuracy of your proposed solution. Further responsibilities include: •Manage an open territory to drive new sales and expand existing business •Provide technical sales leadership •Move sales opportunities to closure •Work with other sellers and units of IBM as needed to create an effective solution for the client •Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and key client competitors in their industry. Required •At least 7 years experience in Technical Sales •Readiness to travel 25% travel annually •English: Fluent Preferred •Bachelor's Degree •At least 7 years experience in Technical Sales |
