Position title: Project Assistant – IT Database and Outreach Assistant (G4)
Classification: UG Equivalent to GS (UN Salary Scale of GS Employees in Rwanda)
Type of Appointment: 3 months special all inclusive contract with a possibility of extension _____________________________________________________________________________________________


General functions:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and Programme Manager, and under the direct supervision of the designated Project Coordinator at IOM Rwanda, the Incumbent will assist in the planning, managing, and timely implementation of IOM/1035- Migration for Development (MIDA) - Health Professionals Project in Rwanda.

Desirable Qualifications (Educational, experience and competencies):
• Higher Diploma in Information Technology, Mathematics or other business related field;
• At least three years’ work experience in database development and database management
• At least three years experience in website design and development
• Proven experience in information management
• Demonstrated communication and writing skills; keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of Database Design and Development using either: Microsoft SQK Server, Oracle or MS Access.
• Knowledge of scripting languages: JavaScript, Vbscript, HTML, PHP.
• Knowledge of Web Design Editors: Dreamweaver MX, Delphi for PHP, FrontPage and other related editors.
• Knowledge of Statistical Applications: SPSS.
• Good knowledge of diaspora organizations and placements of diaspora helath professionals;
• Highly proficient in Ms Word, Excel, Access, Power-point and the use of Internet for research
• Required functional competencies: effective communicator, successful negotiator, creative and analytical thinker, active learner, team player, and cross cultural facilitator.
• Fluency in both English and French.
