DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Grow the delivery channel network of the Bank to effectively reach the Bank’s chosen customer base through Physical Branch network, Automated Teller Machines, Internet based delivery channels, International money transfer systems, Mobile Sales teams and Telecommunications based delivery Channels.
• Ensure effective management of the delivery channels in line with the Bank’s defined standards for effective customer service delivery to the Bank’s clients, Compliance with regulatory and Legal Requirements, Operational risk management and controls to minimize incidents of frauds and forgeries within the delivery channel network.
• Develop Sales strategies to guide and motivate the Sales efforts of the Personal Banking resources to achieve set annual targets in the areas of liabilities, Assets, Customer deposit accounts and product usage rates by the Bank’s clients.
• Ensure profitability of the Personal Banking Department through effective management of the following parameters; interest income, Non interest income, Operating costs, Losses due to. non performing assets and optimum utilization of the resources.
• Motivate, develop and manage the Personal Banking Department’s human resource towards achieving the Bank’s strategic goals.
• Identify ,and exploit new opportunities in the environment that would enable the Bank to continuously introduce innovative products onto the market.
• Provide regular updates relating to the performance of the Personal Banking Department for the consumption of the Senior Management Committee and board ALCO
Requirement:
QUALIFICATIONS
• A good undergraduate degree in any of the following fields; Statistics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Banking or any related field from a reputable university. • A Masters will be an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 10 years experience in a Banking environment with at least 4 years at Senior Management level and 3 years as Head of Department.
SPECIAL SKILLS
• An established and demonstrable track record in the field of Retail Banking, customer acquisition and retention, as well as proven skills in all risk aspects of Retail Banking.
• An established and demonstrable track record in managing a large team of people that is diverse both multi-disciplinary and location.
• Should have positive attitude towards change and have the ability to embrace change.
• Excellent Interpersonal & networking skills.
• Strong Communication skills.
• High degree of responsibility, Integrity & confidentiality.
• Self driven, assertive and pro-active.
• High information technology savvy and literate.
