Progressio is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on, team player, with initiative and a can-do attitude, and with a track record of managing projects efficiently.
You will project manage the last stages of the implementation of Progressio’s International Citizen Service (ICS) Empower Pilot project: ensuring the continuation of high standards and the achievement of the Empower project objectives. You will also be the focal point of Progressio’s representation with other joint UK partners involved in this project.
You will have exceptional organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a geographically dispersed team.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification), the post holder will have substantial track record of successful project management and implementation, including budgetary control. Proven experience of people management, including enabling others to achieve goals and delegating where appropriate; network building and representation; building effective working relationships with a culturally diverse workforce spread across different geographical locations, and of organising and prioritising a demanding workload is essential.
You should have knowledge of project management techniques and tools, and ability to ensure projects are executed within budget, on time and to high standards; sound judgement, problem solving skills, the ability to respond to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently; strong networking skills and the ability to collaborate with other organisations, represent Progressio and undertake public speaking engagements. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate and work with a wide range of people in a participatory, respectful, collaborative manner, and to enhance effective work relationships; the ability to foster motivation within the project team to meet tight deadlines and to remain professional and calm when working under pressure; an entrepreneurial, results oriented and dynamic approach; initiative, flexibility and excellent attention to detail, and a good understanding of international development issues and debates are also essential.
