Plan has been working in Rwanda since 2007 and now has operations in the Eastern Province districts of Gatsibo and Bugesera. The support office is in Rwamagana while the counrty office is in Nyarutarama - Kigali.

To facilitate the implementation of its activities, Plan Rwanda wishes to recruit qualified and well experienced candidates to fill the following position:
Business Development Specialist (Plan International Rwanda)
Location: Country Office, Nyarutarama
Line Manager: Country Director
Job Summary:
The purpose of Business Developrnent Specialist is to give strategic guidance in Resource Mobilization. It develops a comprehensive approach that identifies and sets out the process, sources and activities for realizing financial and non-financial resources for Plan Rwanda and will be a road map to diversify the resource base.'" also outlines a systematic approach to support the work of the country and highlights new sources and ways of mobilizing resources. The Business Develop¬ment Specialist aims to be a useful resource that National Offices can draw on and interact with.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage design and implementation of Plan Rwanda's Resource Mobilization Strategy.
- Identifying Plan program priorities for fundraising.
- Identifying in-country funding and partnership opportunities
- Grants portfolio management
- Capacity building
- Support the localisation of Plan- Rwanda's Resource mobilisation rategy in line with the Corporate Resource Mobilisation System.
- Provide support in proposal development (narrative and budget) in line with government priorities, Plan policies and donor requirements.
- Facilitate grants portfolio management within country budget, ensuring timeliness, budget control and accountability.
- Facilitate quality and timely financial and narrative reporting.
- Ensure quality management of grants system (GL, GTS and PPM).
- Participate in networking, partnership and donor-relations activities — being a voice of Plan in cultivating relationships with donors and partners.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum a Master's degree in economics or International Policies and International programmes for International cooperation or other related discipline
- At least 5 years experience in fundraising/resource mobilization and/or programming field in an NGO or donor organisation.
- Excellent proposal and report writing skills.
- Fundraising skills,
- Program/project management skills
- Networking and partnership development
- Strong negotiation, facilitating and influencing skills
