Assistant Accountant , Precise Systems Limited (PSL)

Position Description:

Precise Systems limited (PSL) - Provides Reservation Systems called Galileo and PreciseSky to Travel Agents and Airlines.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

Maintenance of proper books of accounts as per IFRS Preparation of monthly reports and reconciliations

Prepare payment vouchers for suppliers to ensure right amounts are paid.

Maintain good relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders for mutual business benefits Keep and maintain records of company assets

Preparation of Payment documents, E.g. Expense Authorization Matrix, Local Purchases Order, Invoice, Duty travel matrix

Posting of payments and receipts in the accounting system

Posting of all invoices, debit notes, credit notes and/or journals regarding creditors in the accounting system

Maintaining Petty Cash Float and Preparation of reimbursement returns

Maintaining Debtors and Creditors Ledgers and make sure there is no double payment.

Banking and Bank reconciliations

Review and giving suggestion to Finance Manager on Financial regulations and Procedures from time to time in order to increase efficiency and cost control

Prepare VAT returns and Submit to relevant authorities on timely basis as required by law

Management of payments.

Work with External and Internal Auditors.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

University graduate B.Com Accounting or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy with 2 years Accounting experience, CPA (T) is an added advantage.

Knowledge of SUN System will also be an added advantage

Computer literate

Strong analytical skills

Good communications and interpersonal skills
