Regional Director


Role Purpose

To supervise the operations of the Lake region
Key Responsibilities

- Monitor, Motivate and supervise day-to-day work of commercial, technical and sales managers and staff.
- In coordination with the Marketing team, develop and execute marketing programs and sponsorships associated with the growth of the TIGO brand in the region
- To ensure that the business is operated to the highest standards in line with the mission statement and values
- Agree objectives in line with business and brand objectives and values, and ensure Managers carry out appraisals with the teams
- Comply with statutory and legal requirements for Health and Safety
- Build strong communication links with the local authorities
- Grow the subscriber base from its significant number of existing subscribers.
- Manage region’s annual business planning process and subsequent compliance with approved budget.
- Be aggressive in reducing and then keeping costs under control.
- Manage regular reporting of information to the General Manager.
- Manage subordinates to meet plans and targets and maximise performance.
- Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Position Requirements

• University degree in management, Industrial Engineer an MBA or Master’s Degree is an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years work experience (with at least 3 years in Leadership role or managing teams
) in FMCG, Telcomunication
• Excellent in oral and written communication skills


Technical Security Officer (TSO)

Role Purpose

To support the technical needs of the Tigo Security Team and align the tech requirements with various suppliers for security equipments.
Key Responsibilities

- Assess the Technical needs of the various Tigo operational sites both in Dar es Salaam and in Tanzania, such as: CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Access Control, FSS and others.
- Implement Quality Control of existing Technical Installations.
- Perform surveys of all Tigo CCSC’s and make recommendations as to necessary safety/security procedures and installations.
- Perform surveys of all Tigo Residences and make recommendations as to necessary safety/security procedures and installations.
- Determine Technical Bill of Quantities.
- Maintain relationships with Tigo Security Service Providers and Technical Service Providers.
- Assist with Investigations.
- Assist with the development of Tigo Safety/Security Policies.
- Perform other duty as may be assigned from time to time

Position Requirements

- Bsc. Electronics, Engineering and other related field
- Minimum of 5 years work experience with International Security Company or NGO
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage in effective and persuasive negotiations


Key Account Coordinator, MFS

Role Purpose

You are commercial focused on identifying business opportunities, developing strategies, implementing solutions and managing the relationship between Mobile Financial Services and its business partners
Key Responsibilities

- Identifying industries and potential business partners that could benefit from MFS
- Developing strategies and commercial solutions in conjunction with the MFS Corporate Sales manager.
- Build business case and approach business partners with MFS solutions
- Coordinating process between MFS and potential business partner
- Provide detailed requirements to MFS Implementation Specialist and link technical teams of both parties
- Coordinate delivery of technical integration and time-lines
- Provide training on MFS product and services to business partners
- Central Point of contact for Business partners and Tigo MFS
- Prepare weekly status report of ongoing activities
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned from time to time

Position Requirements

- University degree in Business Administration, marketing, communication and other related field
- 2 years of experience in account acquisition/management.
- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point


MFS Implementation Specialist

Role Purpose

You are responsible for implementing the service in the key accounts partner and in Tigo, by creating processes, connecting platforms, training staff, etc.
Key Responsibilities

- Implement services in key accounts partners
- Create standard processes and policies for implementing different services
- Create project plans and time-plans to implement services in key account partners
- Follow up internally to ensure Tigo deliverables' are being met
- Compliance with Operational Excellence initiatives and regulatory requirements
- Directly responsible for understanding and following up on platform capacities and procedures
- Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time

Position Requirements

- University degree in Engineering, Computer science and other related field
- Atleast 2 Years of experience in project management, preferably within banking or financial institutions.  Technological knowledge is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Project Manager Data


Role Purpose

You are responsible for full project management life-cycle for the Data and time to revenue, according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, coordinate, and report on multiple complex projects
• Negotiate priorities and resources in order to assure plan accomplishment
• Evaluate and report projects performance KPIS
• Minimizes exposure and risks on projects under your responsibility
• Consolidate local plan of projects
• Report accomplishment of the local project plan to the senior management team
• Analyze project definition and expected results, and adjust accordingly

Position Requirements

• 3+ years of proven project management experience.
• University degree in technology / engineering / business administration or related areas.
• MBA or Master in Science is desired.
• Experience with Scrum Project Framework and related agile development environments or any other telecom, IT related framework is a plus.
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Visio

Regional Sales Manager


Role Purpose

Ensure achievement of sales objectives in this region and correct implementation of company strategy through effective  coordination of distribution and activations to achieving above target revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities

-Coordinate direct sales team and implementation of sales and marketing strategies.
-Coordinate and conduct training to the sales teams
-Actively seek innovative means to capturing new customers and retaining existing customers.
-Review, analyse and compile daily, weekly and monthly sales reports within the region.
-Make periodic visits and ensure implementation of the company’s sales strategy.
-Ensure stock points are effectively utilised as per purchase targets set.
-Monitor and audit dealer's sales activities.

Position Requirements

University degree, preferably in Management/ Business Administration/Marketing

Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Marketing and Sales ideally from a FMCG company.

Fluent English  fluent  is a required  and fluent Swahili is a distinctive advantage.

MFS Corporate Sales Manager


Role Purpose

Responsible for building and maintaining a relationship with different corporate clients by providing MFS related services effectively, educate and promote MFS products/ services
Key Responsibilities

1.Build and realize sales action plan for Corporate client – MFS related services

2.Prepare sales strategy to ensure we achieve given target, this entails building up the pipeline, set KPI’s  as well as cross selling within existing account

3.Work closely with Corporate Sales team to ensure we cross sell MFS products to  Corporate sales clients

4.Liaise with Corporate contacts, build  and develop relationships

5.Delivery overall objectives of Key Accounts Segment

6.Make joint calls for high-value  customers

7.Prepare Sales proposal, plans, presentations to be used on sales meeting when necessary

8.Prepare the strategy to manage the account and set objectives about account management

9.Monitoring the day to day commercial performance of  each account within the portfolio

10.Lead solution development effort  that best address customer needs while involving all necessary
Stakeholders

11.Protectively assesses, clarify and validates  customers’ needs on an on-going basis

12.To conduct Quarterly account review together with MFS Go To Market Manager

13.Provide leadership in areas of expertise, particularly in on ensuring you work closely with Product Development team in developing/ structuring existing products to suit customer needs.

14.Provide feedback from the market

Drive Test Engineer

Role Purpose

You will be responsible to deliver quality of the network through Drive Testing Activities
Key Responsibilities

 Responsible for collecting and analyzing the drive test data for GSM and WCDMA system;
 Supporting Performance and RF Engineers in evaluating and improving areas of poor quality and  coverage by identifying system performance problems;
 Reporting problems to appropriate engineers:
 Resolving customer service issues/complaints;
 Assisting in implementing solutions.

Position Requirements

 Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering/ Electronics/Electrical/Communication Engineering  or any related field.
 Basic understanding of RF principles ,GSMA and WCDMA technology.
 Good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
 Proficient in office computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
 Knowledge on using Drive Test Tools such as TEMS ,NEMO, Probe, Scanners etc. will be an added advantage


Cashier

Role Purpose

You will deal with cash management process and ensure timely and accurate reporting in the  Management Information System
Key Responsibilities

 Perform  bank reconciliations as per the given schedules

 Follow up of  bounced cheques, post-paid direct deposits and return of funds to ensure that they are booked on time

 To ensure that un-booked payments and  payment  that not cleared at bank are communicated to accounts payable  for booking

 To insure that dealers deposits are booked correctly and all un-booked dealers deposits are communicated to dealer's support for follow up

 To ensure that branch collections are banked and posted  correctly and all differences are cleared timely

 Supporting MFS at back end treasury operation to ensure smooth functioning

 Implement internal controls relating to cash, timely and accurately to ensure no internal control fails.

 Train all branch cashiers to ensure they deliver up to standard and advise the management for improvements needed.

Position Requirements

 Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related field
 At least 1 year experience in related field


Core Network Planning Engineer


Role Purpose

 You will be responsible to plan and design core network, this includes but not limited to the following nodes MSC, MSC-S, GMSC, MGW, HLR, BSC, AUC, and EIR expansion and monitor all routes and make appropriate recommendation to ensure availability.
Key Responsibilities

 Ensure interconnection for both internal and external networks are implemented smoothly. Define documentation for signaling, routing for both internal and external networks.

 Monitor all interconnect routes – internal and external - and make appropriate recommendation to ensure availability with no congestion on any circuit

 Predict future network trends, including all routes and how these will impact the Core Network. Think strategically and interpret market forecasts.

 Core nodes hardware dimensioning and monitoring of recommended utilization threshold.

 Participate in projects relating to Core Network – routing, signaling, upgrades, replacements etc

 Plan the Core network by using proper tools and software with the aim of achieving high system availability and reliability to meet service requirements

Position Requirements

  B. Sc in Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering

 Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in planning of cellular/core networks.

Transport Performance Engineer
Role Purpose

Fully accountable to the transmission network quality check, optimization  and performance for the effective monitoring and sustainable operation of the transmission network systems in order to maintain high availability / high quality of transmission  and IP MPLS network in accordance with MIC's planned commitments and standard.
Key Responsibilities

• To deliver a consistent high-quality corporate network against agreed benchmarks set out in the support strategy that incorporates and reflects the current and future needs of the business goals.
• Carry out network quality & performance activities that meet or exceed the MIC corporate operational service level targets for the 24 x 7 x 365 operation
• Solve performance related problems in existing networks, fully make use of existing resources and reasonable use of these resources to ease operation.
•Solve problems in existing networks, resources and reasonable use of these resources to ease operation,  smooth network expansion and upgrading
• Conduct regular check of network synchronization degradation and work close with transmission planning design engineer to come up with remedial solution.
• Conduct regular and ad-hoc system/equipment and fault rectification maintenance and system/network outage.
• Specify the impact of the transmission problems on the GSM 2G/ 3G networks (Drop call, outage, blocking etc) and determine the problem’s causes and provide recommendations and advices.
• Analyse transmission failures or performance degradations caused by network synchronization, rain, humidity, reflection or  high temperature and work with transmission planning design group to come up with permanent solutions.
• Use different network management systems (NMS) for the analysis and troubleshooting processes.
• Perform monthly & weekly reports that contain all the transmission exceptions, performance and special events, recommendations.

Position Requirements

• University degree preferably in Electrical/ Electronic/ Communication/ Telecom Engineering
• A minimum of 2 years experience  on Telecom IP and Transport networks.


Management Trainee


Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

Assistant Treasury Manager

Role Purpose

You will deal with cash flow forecasting, reconciliation of collections and organization of new financing. You will also ensure timely and accurate MIS reporting
Key Responsibilities

- Collections management by reviewing and approving sales to collection process, confirmations of deposits and approving receipts in the sales system.

- Management of branch collections by making sure cashiers  deposit collections in time and reconciled with bank statement

- Cash Management functions including performing and reviewing Bank reconciliations, releasing payments from payment system (Citidirect), making sure sufficient availability of cash balance before releasing payments. Also making proper allocations of cash between bank accounts based on interest income rate, foreign exchange business factors and risk allocation

- Making proper accounting for loans and loans classifications, interest calculations and accruals, proper accounting for all collections, Interest income and charges

- Preparing detailed monthly Cash flow and cash flow forecast, this include forecast for loans covenants and any financing need and excess Cash

- Reviewing of dealers and branch accounts and making sure sales and collections are recorded in time, follow up for any outstanding balances

- Foreign exchange risk management by ensuring all collections are kept in US dollar except for balances to meet local currency obligations, converted on the best market rate available. Revaluing the balance sheet accounts denominated in other currencies other than TZS

- Covenants managements to comply with financing Common Terms Agreement, performing quarterly calculations for review and seeking approvals from head office

Position Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in BECOM, Finance, Economics  Master’s Degree in related field is an added advantage
- Professional certificate - CPA or ACCA
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management  in a bank, Audit firm,or senior level accountant in finance department


Key Account Manager (Morogoro-1 & Mwanza-1)

Role Purpose

Responsible for generating revenue by closing sales, credit /debt management and revenue collection.Key Responsibilities

• To achieve agreed growth rates from Corporate accounts in line with the Business Enterprises business plan.

• Cross selling of products and services to new users and existing clients.

• Open up new business opportunities by networking within existing customer base.

• To be the central point of contact for all Corporate Sector Account sales related issue within the customer portfolio and the conduit for customer communication for all other service related situations

• Ensure all the bills are paid as per the credit policy

• Develop sound business relationships with corporate client organizations, representing the company as a professional, quality organization, in order to maximize awareness and use of our servicePosition Requirements

Territory Manager, Central

Role Purpose

You will ensure that the sales objectives for the regions are achieved as per the KPIs. You will be responsible to ensure correct implementation of company strategy through adequate coordination of sales and distribution channelsKey Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales teams in order to comply with objectives and applying correct procedures.

• Assure correct implementation of sales and marketing strategies.

• Ensure high quality of training and coaching of the sales force both direct & indirect sales

• Design, develop and manage diverse ways of increasing the customer base, manage sales and distribution channels within the territory

• Review and analyze weekly sales of areas and assigned distributors by region. Permanent evaluation of performance.

• Periodically visit the  regions in the territories, to ensure correct implementation of company’s policies and strategies.

• Assign targets to distributors and supervisors by product, and prepare reports for payments of  commissions.

• Attend customer requirements of point of sales and distributors.Position Requirements

• University degree or equivalent, preferable Bachelor in business administration/Marketing/Business/Engineering
• 3-5 years of managerial experience with field and operation experience preferable in FMCG


IN Operation Engineer

Role Purpose

Responsible for implementing all work requests received from NOC (network change implementation),              including data files, routing changes, signalling network changes and numbering plan implementations.Key Responsibilities

•To perform all routine activities of the system according to vendor's specifications and business requirements.

• To perform detailed investigation/analysis in case of escalation of trouble tickets

• To escalate and trigger vendor support if necessary.

• To perform the integration tests for any new node or new application/feature being put in production according to the business specifications.Position Requirements

• University degree, preferably in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering
• A minimum of 1-3 years experience in the same field.


IT Technical Support Coordinator

Role Purpose

Responsible for coordinating all activities required to install, maintain, configure and troubleshoot desktops, laptops , software applications, office telephones, projectors, screens, video conference equipment and network hardware, network/power cabling and printers.Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of technical personnel (internal/external), ensuring that users requests and problems are solved on a timely manner.

• Prepare and assign laptops, desktops to employees and keep updated inventory of assigned equipment.

• Register new purchases and disposal of equipment including lost and stolen equipment.

• Update knowledge base with resolution information, in order to reduce resolution time for future incidents.

• Prepare reports in case of major incidents and support in other duties as required.Position Requirements

• University degree preferably in Information Technology- Systems / Computer Sciences-Engineering, Electronics/Telecommunications

• A minimum of 1-3 years experience in technical support


Prepaid Voice Manager

Role Purpose

Implement strategy to grow the voice (on-net & ex-net) business, through a thorough end to end daily processes managementKey Responsibilities

• Design and Implement end to end prepaid voice on-net and ex-net services
• Design and Implement end to end churn initiatives
• Manage end to end initiatives to ensure timely revamp or closure
• Liaise with cross-functional units for the successfully implementation of the  initiatives
• Play a key role in the successfully achievement of the Departmental and Company Budget
• Manage special projects as assigned by the immediate supervisor or departmental head
• Analyze internal and market voice trends and recommend actions to improve overall  Departmental and Company TargetsPosition Requirements

Academic Qualification:
• Bachelor Degree: Finance, Accounts, Marketing, Economics, Statistics
• MBA [Full Time] majored in any Commercial discipline, will be added advantage

Experience and Other Requirements:
• At least 1-3  years working on Core prepaid products or similar Commercial environment
• Knowledge of pricing , trends and elasticity measurement
• Understanding of the OCS commercial functionality or any other prepaid Tech support platforms
• Knowledge in marketing mix, plan development and implementation
• Proven positive and dynamic attitude


Tigo Pesa Operations Support
Role Purpose

To ensure money is allocated timely to Super Agents in the Tigo Pesa System, reconciliations are performed and all cash allocations are correct.Key Responsibilities

• Ensure proper administration of float in the platform and cash at the bank
• Oversee timely allocation of stock to the agents
• Daily reconciliation of stock allocations
• Oversee all the stock deleted from the system
• PIN resset as per the approved process and procedure
• Timely and properly closure of third level escalated query through remedy
• Update and ensure proper processes and procedures for operations that are performed by front line staffPosition Requirements

• Bachelor Degree is preferred in Marketing,Finance,   Communication or Engineering.
• A minimum of 1-3 years experience.
