ZANTEL Senior Specialist RF Planning and Optimization
Key duties and responsibilities:
Radio Network Planning
a) Conducting Site Surveys and Design
b) Capacity Dimensioning
c) Frequency/Scrambling code Planning
d) RF Parameters Planning for GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS
e) In-Building Solution Designing
f) Managing site configuration databases, heights and maps topology and updating the planning tools.
Radio Network Optimization
a) Monitoring and maintaining radio network performance KPIs such as Call Setup Success Rate, Call Drop Rate, TCH/SDCCH Congestions, Handover Success Rate, Location Update Success Rate, Paging Success Rate, and EDGE&GPRS to reach/exceed the target value.
b) Monitoring parameter consistency check rules in order to maintain RAN parameter database consistent internally and implemented according to the RAN default parameters and RAN planned specific parameters.
c) Monitoring & analyzing the WCDMA/HSPA+ Radio Network Statistics for KPIs such as Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility & Service Integrity
d) Conducting drive test for new sites, sites improvement and routine network DT and providing recommendation reports.
e) Reviewing the daily system alarms and assist BSS/MW team to solve the problems
f) Analyzing national roaming data and recommending changes to reduce roaming traffic
g) Handling and resolving customer complaints.
Desired Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Engineering & Information Technology.
Experience: At least a minimum of three ( 4 to 5) years in relevant working experience.
