RTI INTERNATIONAL (RTI) is implementing the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Uganda Governance, Accountability, Participation and Performance (GAPP) Program The
goal of this five-year program is to increase participation, accountability and local governance for effective service delivery. To achieve this goal, the GAPP Program will focus on three components: (1) Support and strengthen national level government accountability institutions in their interaction with local governments; (2) Strengthen local government revenue, procurement, financial and planning systems; and (3) Strengthen civil society organizations (CSOs) and other non:state actors (NSAs) to improve voice and accountability. The GAPP Program will work at the national level and in at least 24 districts in northern Uganda, the Albertine region of Bunyoro, and central Uganda.

As the prime contractor for the GAPP Program, RTI is currently seeking candidates for the following job positions.
The following positions will be based in the GAPP Program headquarters office in Kampala and will require travel to partner local governments in the regions mentioned above, to varied degrees:
Information Technology (IT) Specialist will support Windows PCs and Windows Servers and maintain network infrastructure including ISP, router, Ethernet switch, PABX and VoIP; set up, maintain, and support the IT infrastructure for additional program offices as they are established; assist with technical specifications, budget and forecast the IT requirements for the offices and coordinate the procurement for the same; ensure compliance with RTI Information Security policies and procedures; supervise the performance of any local IT firms or staff hired to support the project offices; and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirement:A master's degree in a related field with a minimum of one year of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of three years of relevant experience; experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows PCs, servers, printers and networks of similar work environment; Microsoft or networking certifications on the above platforms are preferred; and local IT market awareness is desired. |
