The Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Essex wishes to appoint two Professors within its internationally recognised and multi-disciplinary research team. ISER is home to the ESRC Research Centre on Micro-social Change (MiSoC) and the ESRC UK Longitudinal Studies Centre (ULSC) which conducts the new UK household longitudinal study, Understanding Society.

The successful candidates will have a higher degree in a relevant social science discipline and an established professional reputation in their field. They will provide research leadership, stimulate innovative research, attract large scale research funding, and develop ISER's research portfolio in the future.
