We wish to appoint a full-time Lecturer (with eligibility for permanency) to start on or after 1st May, 2013 in the area of communications and networks (including but not limited to wireless networks and communications, multimedia networks, telecommunications, access networks, sensor networks and cognitive radio). We wish to add capability to the School’s existing research groups as well as open up and develop new research activities in these areas that will become recognized as outstanding and internationally leading. We seek highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional candidates that will enable the School to continue to develop and support our internationally leading research and contribute and further enhance our research-led teaching.
The successful candidate will have a strong publications record and a developing profile in the field demonstrating clear potential for research excellence. A PhD in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related discipline, evidence of international-level research activity and either experience of teaching in a Higher Education Environment or the demonstrable potential to achieve this are essential. The ability to work as part of a team to complement the School’s teaching and to contribute to its research activities is also required.
Salary: £37,382-£44,607 per annum
