As the Finance & Administration Officer for DevEd, you'll help us to ensure we have the necessary systems in place to implement our mission of empowering communities through relevant education. You will be responsible for all aspects of financial and administrative systems, including designing and implementing financial reporting and internal control systems, accounting, budgeting, donor reporting and liaising with external parties on all financial and administrative issues. You will be part of a growing and enthusiastic team dedicated to improving the lives and education of children in Uganda and elsewhere.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply their experience and skills to an innovative, start-up NGO. Candidates should have a strong financial background with work experience in international NGOs, charities or developing countries a strong advantage. An ability to communicate fluently in English and French, both verbally and in writing, will be required.

commitment:
We're looking for a volunteer to start soon and stay on with us for at least one year, with the potential to renew. Ideally you will be in a regular routine (ie not in-between jobs) whereby you know that you can commit to this project long-term. We'll need you for 10-15 hours a week on a consistent basis. Please only apply if you are located in the Geneva area and can make this full commitment for a year. You would work from home with regular meetings with the team in Geneva.
