The Global Platform Concept
The activities at the Global Platforms (GP) feed into the overall aim of ActionAid’s Traning4Change programme. The fundamental aim of the GPs is to empower young people to create positive social change. The GPs are founded on experiential and participatory learning techniques. The GPs create social change through training, capacity support, mentoring, networking, cultural exchange and incubation of young people with innovative ideas. The training element is central to the work and the outreach of the Global Platforms, however, the GPs are more than just youth training centres, they are spaces for innovation, incubation, creativity, solidarity, cultural exchange and growth in a myriad of ways.
