Senior Technical Officer, Newborn and Child health [1 Position, based in Mwanza]Grade: 8
Position Overview: This position will coordinate implementation of USAID BORESHA AFY A activities on newborn and child health (NCH) in respective regions in the lake and western zones, The Sr. Technical office" will support the program with in assessment, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of training programs and clinical services. S/he will work closely with RICHMTs to ensure delivery of quality newborn and child health care services in health facilities and communities. This includes capacity building on IMCI, ETAT, KMC, HBB and ENC for service providers through training, coaching and mentoring; implementation of service protocols and standards; and data collection for service improvement.
Position Reports To: Technical Advisor, Newborn and Child health
Qualifications and Requirements:
A clinical degree or equivalent qualification (MD, AMO or nursing/Midwifery)-. A master's degree in a health related field is a plus
• A record of being proficient in specific Newborn and Child Health clinical service if provision
• Certified at least 2 years clinical training experience for theory and practice; excellent facilitation skills including delivering an interactive presentation, participatory and experiential methods
Pharmacist/Supply Chain Technical Advisor [1 position based in Dar es Salaam]
Position Overview:
The Pharmacist Supply Chain Technical Advisor position will provide overall technical management and coordination of supply chain activities for multiple projects managed by Jhpiego Tanzania which currently include Maternal, newborn and Child Health, Family Planning (FP), Malaria, HIV/AIDS, and Essential Medicines (EM) commodity groups. The Pharmacist Supply Chain Technical Advisor will provide technical and programmatic leadership for planning, managing, and reporting on all health commodities supply chain management activities to support Jhpiego programs. S/he will 'provide technical guidance and leadership to program teams and provide' technical' assistance and lead coordination/collaboration with national supply chain stakeholders to ensure supplies and commodities are available at the last mile for program effectiveness' and integrate sustainability 'planning in programs supply chain management. In addition, s/he will supervise Jhpiego's pharmaceutical warehouse .ensuring .the organization meets all necessary legal and technical requirements in procuring, storing and distribution of pharmaceuticals to project beneficiaries as prescribed by local authorities and the donors. She/he will be expected to provide overall guidance in logistics management and serve as Jhpiego main point of contact for supply chain related activities.
Technical Advisor –Family Planning/Postpartum Family Planning (FP/PPFP) 1 position based in Mwanza
Position Overview:
The Technical advisor for family planning/Postpartum Family Planning (FP/PPFP) will over see tailored implementation of postpartum FP interventions into the essential services package in Project-supported regions: S/he will be responsible to work at the national level to provide inputs into strategic and technical Family Planning documents. With the Mwanza-based Technical-Lead for FP and each regional Technical Officer for FP, s/he will support the rollout of in-service coaching, mentoring and supportive supervision ' for facility and community-based health care providers and will provide technical support to-the Project's objectives in Zanzibar as needed

Digitizers -Mwanza(x 30)

Position Overview:
The Digitizers will be responsible to translate the roads and housing to be in digital format. The successful candidates will be given a training on how they can transform roads and housing in the seven regions from aerial photographs to vector formats to be used in Spatial analysis for UBAP interventions. The digitizers will be responsible to identify and digitize different types of roads and residential areas.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Certificate in IT or related fields- Diploma or higher will be an added advantage.
• Experience working with different applications, GIS knowledge will be a plus
• Good management of mouse and good typing speed
• Evidence of ability to work co-operatively with others to meet tight e deadlines
