If you have met the challenge of leading Asia mainland, multi-country fundraising to the tune of $5+million and have gained over five years’ senior level leadership experience in Asia, then this is an outstanding opportunity for you to advance your career while making a major contribution to bettering the livelihoods of poor and vulnerable people through improved fisheries and aquaculture.
As a strategic and creative thinker, an influential entrepreneur and a relationship-builder, you will be making the most of your relevant Master’s degree or PhD; your understanding of agricultural research for development especially pertaining to fisheries and aquaculture; and your ability to design and execute 3+ years’ rolling strategies which focus on impact and growth.
You will provide strategic leadership to achieve growth and impact and strengthen the WorldFish brand as the organisation for high quality research that leads directly to outcomes which impact positively on the reduction of poverty and hunger. Also, you will become the primary representative in the Greater Mekong region with full responsibility for operations in Cambodia, while also covering Bangladesh, Myanmar, India, Nepal, Laos and Vietnam.
This will involve significant fundraising; building high-level, long-term, productive relationships with investors, partners, governing bodies and key stakeholders; monitoring and reporting on progress; ensuring our programme integrates across your region and that communications are effective and information is shared; inspiring and mentoring regional colleagues, preparing proposals, overseeing finance, administration and operations; and, with regards to Cambodia, ensuring timely and successful implementations and the development of compelling research projects and identification of both the human and financial resources required for success. In the international arena, you will contribute to our global strategy and participate in leadership meetings.
