System Administrator - Agricultural Inputs Trust (AGITF)

The Agricultural Inputs Trust (AGITF) is a revolving fund which is under the Management of Board of Trustees. The fund was established by Act of Parliament No.9 of 1994. The fund is looking for dynamic, qualified and committed Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions

POSITION: SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR ( 1 POST)

(i) Responsible to: Human Resources and Administration Manager

(ii) Minimum Qualifications: Holder of Degree in Computer Science or Information
Technology from a recognized institution. At Ieast three (3) years proved working experience in Information Technology in a reputable organization. Knowledge of Microsoft NAV

(iii) Duties and Responsibilities
(a) Providing technical support to staff in all computer user systems software which includes operating systems and application software and packages regardless of the applications database or packages used.
Managing user access and security of the systems.
Performing database tuning and performance monitoring system.
Monitoring and maintaining database security and database software.
Providing advice to applications' users on the effective use of database packages.
Performing connection of workstations to the local area Network (LAN)
Trouble shooting on hardware, software and network connectivity problems.
Doing daily log backups. .
Setting up and maintaining documentation standards.
Implementing and maintaining database security. _
Managing user accounts.
Responding to user trouble calls
Doing daily maintenance of hardware and software.
Performing any other duties as directed by the Superior.

Age Limit: Not above 45 years of age.
Remuneration: Salary and other benefits will be according to AGITF Scheme of Service
