APOPO is an non-profit organization that researches, develops and implements detection rats technology for humanitarian purposes such as clearing landmines and detecting tuberculosis. APOPO has headquarters in Tanzania and operations in Mozambique, Angola, Cambodia, and Tanzania.
We are looking for an online volunteer to help us with the revision of English texts that will be used throughout our different communications channels (website, handouts, annual reports, beneficiary stories etc.). We have different target audiences so you’ll be working on ‘light’ informative texts as well as more technical texts.
We’re looking for someone with profound knowledge of the English language, preferably a native English speaker, to read through texts and check on spelling errors, language errors, type errors, grammatical style and vocabulary and edit/revise accordingly. Having experience with text revision would be a plus.
This is an unpaid position as an APOPO Champion. Commitment can be on an 'availability' arrangement.
