INTRODUCTION
The LAPF pension Fund is a social institution affiliated to the prime Minister’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PMORALG). Its head office is located at Mtendeni Street in Dodoma, with zones and liaison offices in Dar es salaam, Arusha, Morogoro, Mwanza, Mtwara, Rukwa and Kigoma regions. The fund has plans to open more offices in other regions in future
LAPF activities has been steadily increasing in the recent past. In response to this development and the quest for even further development, the fund now seeks to recruit professionals with proven good track record to fill the following vacancies
1.0    SENIOR ESTATE OFFICER (1 POST)
JOB PURPOSE
Reports to the principal Estate Officer, the Senior Estates Officer will be responsible for managing the Estates Management section
Minimum required qualification and experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have
•    Holder of Bachelor’s Degree in Building economics, Land management and valuation and Estates management, property and facilities management, land economics or equivalent qualification
•    At least seven years of relevant work experience in a reputable Institution
•    Possession of advanced knowledge of computer aided Drafting (CAD) as an added advantage
Duties and responsibilities
•    Ensure periodic valuations of real estates and machinery to determine replacement cost
•    Advise on and collect rent chargeable on investment buildings
•    Prepare rental reports and advise on appropriate means of ensuring optimal collection of the rent
•    Develops and implement annual maintenance programs for the Fund properties
•    Liaise with the Municipalities or the Ministry responsible for Lands and Housing development on LAPF properties and provide report to superiors
•    Keep records properly, control and handle LAPF properties
•    Follow-up on title deeds and acquisition of Land from relevant authorities and timely provides report to superiors
•    Prepare and maintain inventory of the Fund residential properties
•    Develops system and procedures for effective discharge of estates management functions
•    Assist in the planning and budgeting of Estate activities and services and timely provide report to superiors

•    All Applicants must be the citizens of Tanzania and of age not above 45 years
•    All Applicants must be able to speak, write and read Kiswahili and English languages
•    All Applicants must be computer literate

•    Must have ability to interact well with co-workers, customers and other stake holders of the Fund

•    Certificates from foreign schools, colleges or universities should have a certificate of recognition and/or verification from the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU)

2.0    PROJECT ENGINEER (1 POST)
Job purpose
Reporting to the senior project Engineer, the project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support on the Fund’s construction projects with regards to the best practices in the industry
Minimum required qualification and experience
•    Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications
•    Possession of advanced knowledge of computer Aided Drafting (CAD) will be an added advantage
•    Be a registered as professional engineer in the relevant professional bodies
Duties and responsibilities
•    Provide phasing and scheduling of projects
•    Assist with documentation of best practices of the project implementation
•    Participate in development of projects regarding work plan of the department
•    Review project quarterly reports
•    Review quarterly program reports as required from subcontractors in relation to sub-contract scope of work
•    Provide technical support where necessary to higher authority with regard to the best practices
•    Perform other duties as may be assigned by his/her superior
