International Account Manager Capacity for African Region

In order to further develop our leadership position in the Sub-Saharan African Region, we are looking for an International Account Manager to reinforce the existing team.
As an integral member of the CBU (Capacity Business Unit) sales team, you will provide support in all aspects of development.
Task description
  • You will promote/sell BICS international wholesale Capacity solutions (SDH, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, IP, Submarine cables…) to increase BICS' leading position as a telecommunications gateway;
  • You are responsible for managing the relationship with assigned key customers and interact at all levels within the customer's organisation;
  • You will develop market knowledge, follow market evolution of the international bandwidth environment and provide input to Head of Capacity Trading and Business development/ Strategic investment team;
  • You will coordinate the Presales & Product Management team to ensure feasibility studies, financial input etc... In order to build adequate solutions;
  • You are accountable for all issues in the domain of financial (billing, collection, disputes resolution), technical (dimensioning and configuration of the physical interconnection), legal (contracts) and administrative issues towards your assigned customers portfolio;
  • You coordinate the operational end-to-end implementation of contracts in order to ensure their fulfilment;
  • You will screen the market for business development opportunities in order to secure future growth.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • You have a Master degree (preferably in business or economics) and at least 3 years of experience in the international data/capacity wholesale market (experience in Sub Saharan region is a must);
  • You possess strong communication skills and used to work in a multi-cultural environment;
  • You have proven sales, negotiation and presentation skills;
  • You are result oriented with a strong analytical mind;
  • You like taking initiative, are highly motivated, ready to travel and able to work independently;
  • You are fluent in English and French. In addition, any other language is considered as a plus.
