In Tanzania, Aarsleff is part of an international joint venture for upgrading the 97 km Laela-Sumbawanga Road. We expect that the project will be completed towards the end of 2014. The road is located in the Rukwa region in the south-west of Tanzania close to the border of Congo and Zambia.
We are looking for an experienced planner to focus on the programming aspects. Your primary focus will be to complete a very significant delay and disruption claim.
Job description
As a forensic planner you will work with Primavera and Microsoft Project. Your primary tasks are to get the overview and control of the programming aspects of the project, check the “approved” baseline programme, expand it and correct any logic errors. In addition, you will create an As-Built Programme of Works and/or a Windows/Time Slice Monthly Programme indicating all delays to the critical path and work together with your colleagues in order to create a detailed Delay Events Schedule.
The position is a temporary employment of about 6 months.
We expect that you
- hold a degree in civil engineering or in the construction field
- have experience in construction planning, scheduling, construction design and construction project management – preferably with road construction
- have extensive knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- have experience with critical path analysis
- are able to combine technical aspects with a commercial mindset
- are self-motivated
- use a pragmatic approach to provide solutions.
