World Education Inc. (WEI/Bantwana) is an International Non-Governmental Organization currently implementing Pamoja Tuwalee, a five-year Most Vulnerable Children (MVC) Program, which is funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), with the overall goal of improving effective and sustainable care, protection and support for MVC including those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. Pamoja Tuwalee is an initiative designed to support the Government of Tanzania in implementing the MVC Coordinated Care Program in Tanzania, with WEI/Bantwana as the implementing partner in the Northern Zone (Tanga, Kilimanjaro, Arusha and Manyara).
World Education, Inc. now invites applications from suitably, qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:

Overall Responsibilities:
The Advocacy Field Officer will works alongside the Community Mobilization and Advocacy
Manager in organizing and coordinating advocacy activities of the program. In general, the Advocacy Field Officer will assist in the ongoing advocacy initiatives and acts as a resource to both WEI/BantwanaPamoja Tuwalee program and partner organizations in implementing the program's advocacy strategy.
Specific Responsibilities:
Work with other WEI/Bantwana Pamoja Tuwalee teams to ensure linkages between advocacy and MVCservice areas of education, health, food and nutrition, economic strengthening, child protection, and psychosocial support. Support local Implementing Partners to work with District Social Welfare Officers/District Community Development Officers in ensuring that MVC budget allocations are released and spend for the purchase of uniforms and scholastic materials for MVC in primary schools and secondary schools. Support local Implementing Partners to work with District Social Welfare Officers/District Community Development Officers in ensuring that MVC budget allocations for the payment of secondary school fees for MVC are released and disbursed to respective schools.
Support local Implementing Partners to work with District Social Welfare Officers/District Community Development Officers in facilitating writing and circulation of letters to all head-teachers and head-masters forbidding them from turning away MVC for non-payment of cash \.ontributions in both primary and secondary schools and for lack of fees in secondary schools.
Together with local Implementing Partners, follow up commitments to issue Health Fees -
Exemption Cards (HFECs) to identified MVC made by Councils in MoUs.
Support local Implementing Partners to work with District Social Welfare Officers/District Community Development Officers in processinq and distribution of Health Fees Exemption Cards (HFECs) to identified MVC. l Support local Implementing Partners to work with District Social Welfare Officers/District Community Development Officers in advocating for inclusion of MVC caregivers agriculture projects in value chain of District Agriculture Development Plans (DADPs) each year.
Follow up implementation of Council MVC Joint Action Plans as per MoUs and provide monthly updates on progress made towards achieving agreed targets.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A graduate from an accredited university with a Bachelor's degree in community development or its equivalent. Minimum 3 years' experience in related field at the district level. Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing) is required. Experience working with an NGO or an international agency is required.
