The purpose of this fellowship is to provide a training- through-service opportunity for an MPH graduate. Through this experience, the Fellow will provide direct technical assistance to the Ministry of Health and District Health Teams in Acholi Sub-Region, northern Uganda, focusing initially on Kitgum, Pader and Lamwo Districts, but with a mandate to provide relevant epidemiologic services to all districts and the regional referral hospital within the catchment area. S/he will serve as a field epidemiologist for the MOH/ESD to reinforce integrated disease surveillance and response, and to provide epidemiologic support to the response to Nodding syndrome in the affected districts. The Fellow will receive additional modular training and mentorship on-the-job from MOH and its partners (Makerere University, AFENET, WHO and U.S. CDC)

2. Full reports on outbreaks investigated
3. Full reports on surveillance evaluations (one per district), data quality assessments (one per district), etc.
