The Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) is an
autonomous
Government Agency established by the Act of Parliament No. 1
of 1994. VETA is
responsible for regulating, coordinating, financing and
providing Vocational
Education and Training in Tanzania. VETA is an equal

Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies:
1.0 Human Resources Officer (1 Position.) (Reports to Human
Resources & Administration Manager -HQ)
a) Job Purpose
Responsible for implementing policies relating to Human
Resources Management
and Administration including staff training, development,
promotion,
compensation, performance appraisals and remuneration.
b) Minimum Qualification and experience required
Holder of Degree in Human Resources Management or its
Equivalent from a
recognised University; and
At least 2 (three) years work experience in the same
field.
c) Attitudes and Competencies Required
Ability to us IT equipment;
Analyse and interpret policies related to Human Resource
and Administration;
Must be fluent in both English and Kiswahili;
Should be able to use simple scientific formulae;
Value of resources controlled is high;
Able to enhance team spirit; and
Tact and diplomacy is required when performing duties.
d) Main Duties/Tasks
Maintaining particulars of employment;
Maintaining and updates personnel records;
Maintaining records on attendance to ensure that all staff
report for duty on
time and stick to their work places for all working hours;
Dealing with salary administrations;
Responsible for preparing of records required for staff
promotions, leave and
transfers;
Assist in staff disciplinary matters;
Dealing with personnel complaints, disputes and general
discipline in work
place;
Processing cases on matter of service regulations, labour
laws and Government
Directives;
Dealing with manpower development, manpower requirements;
Implementing directives related to personnel discipline;
and
Preparing quarterly /monthly or weekly reports in the
specific assigned area.
