The Coordinator, Newborn Health, Financial Operations & Grants Management, is a member of the Saving Newborn Lives (SNL) global Program & Operations Management Team supporting the financial and administrative needs of the home office and country programs. Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Newborn Health, Financial Operations & Grants Management, and as part of the Program & Operations Management Team, the Coordinator is responsible for developing and managing consulting agreements, contracts, and subgrants for the global SNL grant as well as other newborn health grants. This position is also supports the Associate Director in providing financial analysis to SNL and other newborn health grants, as well as financial reporting requirements for both Save the Children and the donor agency.

Responsibilities

Prepare and process subgrant and contractual agreements for both headquarter supported activities and country-level activities, as needed. Refine policies and procedures (within Save the Children guidelines) for SNL subgrants and contracts.
Prepare and process consultant agreements for both headquarter supported activities and country-level activities
Support the Associate Director on SNL financial reporting requirements for donor, Home Office functional units, and Country offices, as requested.
Maintain central filing system for all SNL agreement documents including consultants, grants, subgrants, contracts, etc. Assist on SNL grant management including review and posting of grant documentation on Grants Management System (CGRS and AAD).

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field
2-4 years experience managing budgets, contracts, grants, and sub-grant operations, preferably gained in a relief/development Agency, working with overseas counterparts.
Experience as financial analyst.
Experience in tracking, reviewing, analyzing and summarizing financial information and preparing financial reports that meet project and donor requirements.
Ability to manage multiple budgets simultaneously.
International experience.
Competency in development and management of spreadsheets and data bases.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to independently schedule and prioritize multiple tasks to maintain focus and achieve results.
