HOURS: FULL TIME 40 HOURS PER WEEK

SALARY: FSN-6 (USD 4,886 to USD 8,798 per annum) depending on the candidate's earning history, qualifications and experience. This position may initially be filled at a trainee level which is equivalent to FSN-5 (USD 4,330 to USD 7,798 per annum).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent serves as the Roving Secretary, providing the full range of secretarial and administrative assistance services in various offices in the absence of the regular secretaries. When not otherwise in such duties, serves as a secretary in the EXO. Duties include but are not limited to: preparation and drafting of letters, memoranda, and fax/cable communication; maintenance of appointment calendars for professional staff assigned to the office; receiving visitors and answering inquiries from members of the public and governmental and non-governmental organizations and diplomatic missions, as directed by supervisor; ensures files are properly maintained. Under the direction of the D/EXO or HR, provides normal secretarial duties for the EXO assisting various units within the EXO performing the similar duties as detailed above.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, the applicant must possess the following:
EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school is required; post-secondary course in secretarial training is highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE: At least three years of experience directly related to secretarial/administrative as well as through experience in the use of basic Windows computer software packages is required.
LANGUAGE: Level IV (fluent) in English and Amharic.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Must have demonstrated adaptive skills since the position requires the incumbent to move from office to office during the course of a year. The position is established at a level that requires the incumbent be fully versed in all aspects of secretarial and administrative assistant responsibilities.
