Medupi Power Station Project Vacancies

Medupi Power Station Project, based in Lephalale (Ellisras), is the fourth largest coal fired power station in the world and currently the biggest project in South Africa. Opportunities exist on the Owner's team for the following positions:
 
Senior Planner
You will be responsible for driving the Contractors to meet the master schedule deadlines, work closely with the Discipline Project Managers and report to the Site Management Team.
 
Quantity Surveyors
You will be responsible for the control of construction costs by accurate measurement of the work required, the application of expert knowledge of costs and prices of work, labour, materials and plant required, an understanding of the implications of design decisions at an early stage, thereby ensuring that good value is obtained for the money to be expended in constructing the power station.
 
Senior Estimator
Responsible for accurately estimating additional or future costs, related to forcasted costs, engineering design, additional scope, claims, variations, etc., covering the full scope of all construction activities and disciplines imployed in the construction of the power station
 
Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Mechanical and Piping
Responsible for the recording, measurement and assisting reconciliations. Piping experience is essential.
 
Please note all positions will be based in Lephalale (Ellisras), Limpopo 

Desired Skills & Experience

Senior Planner: National Diploma in Technical Management ; 10 years experience on Plant, construction, and planning
 
Quantity Surveyors: BSc QS ; 5 - 10 years.
 
Senior Estimator : Estimating and/or quantity surveying qualificationand a wide variety of experience in all facets of multi disciplinary estimating.
