(1)Programme Officer (Humanitarian Emergency Affairs)

World Vision Tanzania is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

Ref No WVT/P&C/F12/84 (Internal and External)
Job Title: Senior Programme Officer (Humanitarian Emergency Affairs)
Reports to: Associate Director Livelihood
Location: Head Office ( Arusha)

Purpose of the position
To provide technical support on Humanitarian Emergency Affairs (HEA) in WVT areas of operation

Major Responsibilities

  • Facilitate integration of HEA activities in development programs and implementation as per humanitarian Standards
  • Facilitate WVT projects and programs to have updated Initial Disaster Preparedness Plans
  • Build staff capacity in Emergency Response Disaster Mitigation (ERDM) and support field staff in fostering network with donors and other partners on HE
  • Provide technical support, and build capacity to WVT staff in the development of concept papers, proposals, AOPs/designs.
  • Review and provide input to project/program plans and budgets to ensure compliance with WVT standards/guidelines
  • Facilitate emergency response in areas of operation as per Rapid Vulnerability Assessment (RVA) and ERDM committee recommendation
  • Carry out timely review and submission of HEA reports to donors
  • Analyze project/program goals accomplishment Vs budget utilization of HEA projects/programs
Timely follow up of internal, external, Global Centre (GC) audit and evaluation/donor recommendations to ensure that they are responded to and fully implemented

Provide supportive monitoring on integration and implementation of HEA program/project activities

Minimum Qualification required: Bachelors Degree in Economic Development, Sociology, and Agriculture
· Preferred: Masters in Social Sciences Disciplines
· Experience: 3 Years
· Technical Skills & Abilities:


o Computer skills.
o Demonstrated ability in supervision
o Experience in working with donor funds
o Working knowledge of disaster management, emergency procurement services and practices are added advantage.
o Good planning and organizational skills
(2)Zonal Health, Nutrition &HIV&AIDS Officer-World Vision Tanzania:

World Vision Tanzania is seeking to recruit immediately a suitable candidate to fill the of Zonal Health, Nutrition &HIV&AIDS Officer

Purpose of the position:
To provide technical advice, guidance and support in designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS grants projects/programs and to the ADPs within the zone


Major Responsibilities:
· Coordinate the implementation of WVT strategy to scale up Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related issues according to WV standards to projects/programs and ADPs
· Take part on Strategy development at Zonal level, translate it to suit respective DIPs, PDDs in the ADPs to Promote participation of children and women in Health, Nutrition and HIV&AIDS programming
· Guide collection of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related concepts for proposal developments
· Provide technical advice, guidance, assistance and inputs to DIPs, PDDs, AOPs on implementation of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related activities and budgets to ensure compliance with WVT standards/guideline
· Provide technical advice, guidance and inputs to special projects/programs on implementation and integration of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related activities to ADPs
· Provide supportive supervision/monitoring visit to ADPs to track progress, mentor and coach ADP staff on implementation & integration of Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS projects/programs and DIPs/PDDs related activities and data capturing
· Analyze information/data of projects/programs and DIPs/PDDs on quarterly/semi annual basis to track achievements Vs budget utilization for Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS relatedto projects/programs and semiannual/annual for objectives accomplishment Vs budget spending for Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS relatedto projects/programs
· Timely review and submission of reports to donors for Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS related issues as per WV standards
· Facilitate capacity building on Health, Nutrition & HIV&AIDS projects/program within the zone.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
· Minimum Qualification required: Advanced Diploma in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Bsc in Home Economics and Human Nutrition
· Experience: 3 yrs experience in Health related fields
· Preferred: Degree, MPH or any Health related fields
· Technical Skills & Abilities:
o Computer skills.
o Demonstrated ability in supervision
o Experience in working with donor funds
o Working knowledge of proposal writing
o Good planning and organizational skills
o Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and donors


(3) Commodities Manager Reports to: Senior Commodities Manager Location: Arusha

Purpose of the position:

To provide management and technical support to successful operation of the food commodities and GIK (Goods in Kind) program that is in compliance with FPMG (Food Programming Management Group) policies, manuals and reference guide and other internat
ional donors standards.

Major Responsibilities
Provide technical support to all commodities programs/projects and ensure that they are managed and implemented as per WVI, FPMG and donor Standards and facilitate technical capacity training programs for the commodities staff
Provide technical support to non food commodities management. Establish/maintain effective communication, reporting and tracking of GIK received by WVT produce timely and accurate GIKs reports to WVT, stakeholders and donors and to other partners.

Qualification required:
Minimum Qualification required: Degree in accounts, Economic Development , Agriculture, Commerce, Social science or Audits.
Experience:
5 years of which 3 years in supervisory role
Preferred: Experience in working with International humanitarian organization in the related field.(4)TRAINING OFFICERS(4 POSITIONS)

To conduct all training activities in the respective Region in collaboration with Government Officials and other implementing partners.
