Context/Scope:Today, Diageo operates a global, hybrid shared services model with a network of internal (captive) and external (outsourced) resources. This network – collectively called Diageo Business Services (DBS) – consists of Diageo Business Services Budapest and four centres – in Manila, Shanghai, Bucharest and Prague – operated by our outsource provider partner, Accenture.
In terms of geographical coverage Diageo Business Services currently covers 83% of Diageo, as measured by net sales value. This means over 50 countries across six continents. Over 900 people work in the DBS network, which accounts for 40% of Diageo’s Finance population. Diageo Business Services continue to evolve, migrating new markets and activities into the shared services model. By the end of our 2011 financial year (ending in June 2011), we expect DBS to cover 86% of Diageo as measured by net sales value and this will be extended further over the coming years.
The role is expected to lead local project managers and ensure that they are effectively project managing the roles in their markets. The role is also expected to develop a robust and simple programme toolkit.
Purpose of RoleThis role is required to lead a team of local project leads to deliver the migrations of Business F&A (Finance and Accounting) processes and other significant projects in Africa, to the Africa Business Services Centre (ABSC) and the new BPO, Genpact.
It will support the delivery of the Acclaim (Africa Transition Project) project portfolio to time, budget and quality specified and expected, working closely with the Africa Transformation Lead.

•Ensure effective project governance, to ensure delivery of project and overall programme objectives.
•Manage pan-migration issues and opportunities, ensure effective transfer of learnings across migrations
• Provide effective project interface to outsourcer (Genpact) appropriate IS BP&S and GSD interfaces.
• Through the DDM Governance processes identify and manage the integration impacts and ensure delivery of each Project through Transition Points.
Qualifications and Experience• Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
• Ability to handle complex scope and multiple processes
• Strong project management and change experience
• International experience or exposure; ability to work with multiple markets and cultures effectively; demonstrated experience of the same
• Effective management of senior stakeholders (L2/L3) and effectively facilitate meetings and workshops with these stakeholders
• Effective budget management using Diageo tools such as Planview
• Previous line experience
• Experience of finance/shared service environments an advantage
• Experience of team-working and an understanding of how to make a contribution as part of that team
