Mongbwalu Site Financial Manager

Our Mongbwalu Site based in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) requires a suitably qualified and experienced Financial Manager who will be accountable for organizing the Finance Department by aligning the core competencies of the finance team with those of the business units and establishing clear processes that result in greater efficiency and effectiveness.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The role holder has the following accountabilities and authorities:

• Responsible for the medium and long term strategy of the Finance Department with the end of goal of maximizing the company's overall business value.
• Responsible for Business Unit assets, and must collaborate with the Managing Director in the allocation of company capital using clear and objective criteria;
• Responsible for all budgeting, forecasting, planning and reporting for in-country operations.
• Liaise and collaborate with local government officials;

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree and / or Diploma or equivalent qualification in Financial Management.
• Bilingual (English and French) is essential
• Strong mining experience (metals), particularly in gold.
• Experience working in hardship environments
• Knowledge of OHADA, IFRS, and SYSCOA GAAP. Knowledge of USA GAAP is a advantageous.
• Proven experience at senior manager level.
• Be results driven, adaptable and able to influence across functions
• Strategic vision and ability to support future business growth;
• A Highly organized and articulate professional, capable of negotiating with and influencing external stakeholders utilizing his/her technical knowledge

REMUNERATION:
Salary will be in accordance with the AngloGold Ashanti Schedule of Salaries.
