We are seeking applicants for the role of Finance Manager based inArusha,Tanzaniaat The School of St Jude. St Jude’s is a charity funded school that provides quality education to approximately 1,500 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in Arusha. St Jude’s has experienced rapid growth and is currently strengthening its management structure.
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing and further developing the financial systems for our organisation and heads a team of six personnel. This exciting role is ideal for the more experienced qualified financial professional with management experience who is now able to take time out and looking for their next challenge.

A minimum commitment of at least two years is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, budgeting, management reporting, preparation of the annual financial accounts, forecasting and fixed asset management, with a ‘hands on’ approach;
- Improving our finance and support function policies, systems and procedures;
- Advise in regard to legal and statutory matters;
- Continue to develop the basic accounting and financial management skills of the local staff, building confidence and instilling a strong sense of direction among the team;
- Participate with other division managers in decision making processes affecting the functioning of the organisation.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Accounting or similar discipline;
- Experience in a Finance Management position
- Proficiency in ‘Quick Books’ and other accounting software would be an advantage.

Stipend:
