Global Brigades is the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Through 1-2 week skill-based service trips in nine different programs (architecture, business, dental, environmental, law, medical, microfinance, public health, and water), Global Brigades empowers over 6,000 volunteers annually. www.globalbrigades.org
In 2010, Global Brigades expanded its work to Ghana, but has yet to capture the impactful work of the students and communities. We are looking for a professional or student videographer to produce various informational and promotional videos for approximately 1 year in Mankessim, Ghana throughout our various communities and project sites. The videos will help bring more volunteers to Ghana to improve access to healthcare, clean water, and small loans!
Qualifications
- Experience with developing high energy, engaging videos (not documentary style)
- Experience in videography and video editing
- Ability to bring any necessary video equipment and editing software to Ghana
Role Description
This position requires a flexible, detailed and creative individual with excellent personal communication skills who can function comfortably as a self-starter. The videographer will be working with the Marketing Director virtually to develop video themes and will be responsible for gathering the needed video footage to edit complete videos. Global Brigades will provide any transportation and interpreters needed to gather footage. Videographer must be able to turn around each video within a 3 week period.
Priority list of 3-5 minute videos include:
- General Global Brigades Ghana promotional video
- Medical Brigades promotional video
- Dental Brigades promotional video
- Microfinance Brigades promotional video
- Water Brigades promotional video
- Campus informational video (campus will be in construction)
- Accommodations and logistics video
- Educational/tutorial videos for pre-trip preparation
