Electrician -Buzwagi Gold Mine

MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

Our Buzwagi Mine based in Tanzania requires a Trade Tested and experienced Plant / Mill Electrician who has preivously worked within a Gold Processing Plant.

This postion reports to the Electrical Foreman and is worked on a 6/3 week FIFO roster.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but not limited to:

• Perform electrical work as required to maintain, install or repair all electrical systems.
• Perform skilled electrical installation, maintenance and repair work involving camp facilities, buildings and lighting system.
• Perform preventive maintenance - electrical systems, motors and equipment
• Conduct all work to ensure site safety requirements are achieved and safe work practices are followed, without exception.
• Inspect newly installed electrical equipment and lighting to ensure safe operation as well as code compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and associated costs.
• Repair or replace defective or worn out electrical parts and perform associated work including digging, trenching, occasional concrete finishing and removal and lifting electrical equipment, conduits and pipes.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to determine the nature of the problem.
• Repair small and large electrical appliances and perform related duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES

Education Requirements

• Trade Tested Electrical HV Artisan.
• N3 - Electrical - Theory

Experience Requirements

• Work experience of 2 to 4 years in a reputable company.
• Camp construction experience will have an added advantage.
• Problem solving skills.
• A valid Tanzanian Driving License.
• Decisiveness, Resilience and Resourcefulness.
