ActionAid International Uganda seeks to recruit competent persons to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. The position will be located at the head office-Kampala with frequent travels to the field.
Role Definition:
To implement systems for monitoring and evaluation of all AAIU’s projects; document and share information and knowledge in line with Accountability Learning and Planning Systems, national and local rights programme strategies and monitoring framework.
Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Support the development of rolling participatory baselines for local and national rights programmes in line with ActionAid M&E strategy;
2. Support the local rights programmes to compile and update rights and entitlement registers
3. Support the national and the local rights programmes to develop performance indicators to include empowerment indicators, advocacy indicators, partnership indicators and other performance indicators;
4. Train staff, partners and community intermediaries (community change makers) in participatory right based M&E;
5. Contribute to development and implementation of the National Monitoring Framework in line with CSPIV;
6. Collect, validate and enter local and national rights programme data into the Management Information System (MIS) and share aggregated information from it with different departments/units; programmes to ensure their Alps Tracker records are up to-date;
8. Facilitate participatory review and reflection processes for the local rights programme and partners;
9. Take lead in documentation of learnings, good practices and compiling reports for all projects.
10. Compile periodic M&E reports for ActionAid Uganda including the six monthly key performance indicators (KPIs).

person Specifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in either Development Studies, appropriate Social Science discipline or any other related field with at least 2-3
years relevant experience from a reputable organization.
A post graduate qualification in Monitoring & Evaluation will be an added advantage.
