Specific duties and responsibilities would include to:
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to develop, implement and monitor all aspects of the National TB ACSM Strategy.
- Assume technical responsibility for implementation and supervision of KAP Survey in targeted districts, ensuring the use of data and other relevant information as the basis for the development of the ACSM interventions
- Ensure that all ASCM materials are monitored for quality and that messages and information are consistent with International TB and TB/HIV standards and that all related activities are aligned with PATH's TB strategy.
- Collaborate with PATH Zonal TB/HIV Coordinators and TB/HIV Technical Private-Public Coordinator in providing technical support to District TB/HIV Coordinators including participating in training programs, district quarterly meetings, and planning sessions as indicated.
- Provide managerial oversight to ensure that ACSM program activities are carried out within the budget and specified time frame.
- Ensure clear communications and reporting of ACSM activities among members of the PATH TB Team
- Represent PATH with technical partners at technical and donor meetings and other ACSM events
- Support PATH National Coordinator to strengthen and expand TB and TB/HIV activities in support of Tanzania National TB/HIV plan
• Expertise in tuberculosis diagnosis and knowledge of treatment and/or counseling.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili.
Required Experience
• Master’s Degree in Public health or Advanced Diploma in health education/Health promotion with knowledge on Advocacy and Social mobilization and medical background plus a minimum of five years experience in public health, TB and HIV control.
• Specific training in TB and TB/HIV is desirable.
• Demonstrated networking skills, complemented by experience with health communication
• Ability to develop and use indicators for monitoring program performance
• Good Computer Skills
• Excellent written and oral communications in Swahili and English
