This post entails building the capacity of community local leadership structures such as VIDCOs. In addition the community development officer will work with local government district structures such as DDF and Agritex to improve service delivery to communities.
Profile specific to this post: • A degree in Development Studies, Community Development or Social Sciences • 3-4 years of field based rural community development experience. • Knowledge of different capacity building approaches, including adult learning methodologies • Knowledge and experience of Training for Transformation approaches • Experience of working with VIDCOs and Local Government and district level ministries • Ability to train staff and stakeholders using participatory methodologies • Excellent report writing skills • Strong computer skills ((Excel; PowerPoint; Word; Access)
