S/he will be responsible for general administration to include proper filing of administrative documents, provide financial analysis and recommendations e.g. salary adjustments, grades, annual review of the long term financial strategy, supervise payroll processing and payment of salaries.
The Assistant FinCo will be responsible for maintaining and developing an esprit de corps with the finance team and between other department as well as training the finance team, new staff, and travel periodically to bases to give in-field training: Supporting coordinators and PMs by providing financial analysis and guidance for making decisions
Qualifications and Skills required
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum two years of professional finance or accounting experience, preferably in an NGO
- Knowledge of finance/accounting procedures.
- Demonstrated planning and organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication
- Strong administrative, organizational, finance and management experience required
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions.
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer skills to include spread sheets, internet/e-mail, accounting package
