Trade Category Manager , Unilever Tanzania

Unilever implements a proactive approach to expand its Talent Pool, i.e, reaching out to prospective candidates while we do not have a current vacancy so that when an opportunity eventually arises, we will promptly get in contact to share more.
We are now expanding our Talent Pool for Trade Category Manager in Tanzania.
The main purpose of  a Trade category Manager is to create, own and execute Trade Category Toolkit as well as  Prono Strat & 6PsPromo Strategies and tactics and Category  Management – Assortment, pricing, Analytics.
Category planning:
  • Develop quarterly and monthly category plans for assortment, shelf-layout, promotional strategy and price positions, focusing on the target shopper – one pagers
  • Assortment – analyse Data and create assortment plan by channel
  • Promotion – Analyse Opso data and create activity plan by channel
  • Place(Plannos) – Create POP vision by channel
  • Proposition – co create with BB by category
  • Support the annual Joint Business Planning process through data analysis and opportunity identification for each account
  • Support new product introduction for listing into mix;(bottom up forecasting, distribution build and targets)
  • Develop National category activity plans for the year
Shopper insights:
  • Use and leverage account specific category and shopper insights
  • Data analytics – Nielsen, TNS
Performance Evaluation
  • Measure and review category performance;
  • University Graduate, preferably in Business or the Social Sciences.
  • Minimum two to three years relevant Analyst experience
  • 2 year customer facing, account management experience is an advantage
  • Two years brand building experience is an advantage
  • Brand Marketing & Customer/Channel orientation, Creativity, Strategic Thinking
  • Legally authorized to work in Tanzania
