As Learning & Development (L&D) Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of business results. You will achieve this through the creation and proper execution of strategy and business-aligned learning and development initiatives. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a sound understanding to create and drive L&D initiatives that have a deep impact on business results. You will also need to have the ability to work directly (and influence) line managers in order to drive the business agenda through the L&D initiatives you champion.

Collaborate with business leaders, country HR Director and Regional L&D Manager to identify the existing talents and future requirements and develop an overacrhing learning and development philosophy
Working with the business leaders, the country HR Director and Africa L&D Manager to sponsor the development of innovative programs to meet the requirements of the business.
Understand Millicom competence framework. Analyze and compare the level of competenciesof tigo (name of the operation) employees with the competencies needed to be successful in the role and translate eventual gaps in development programs.
Drive the digital learning culture through Millicom University concept ( E-learning system) throughout the organization
Engage employees to learn through digital and blended learning by tailoring the offer to the individual development goal/needs
Ensure our talents and potential talents have potential realization plan is in place and implemented within budget/timeframe
Facilitate in house programs as per business need and roadmap Promote the learning organization as a core element of our Tigo culture, through the adoption of diverse tools including: e-learning, assignments, rotation, assessment, leadership development, on-going training, mentoring and coaching.
Ensure the maximum ROI of all development programs, define measurements and follow up on action plans for further improvement.
Together with the Country HR Director ensure Leaders/employees are confident in running performance Management discussions, and the whole PM process is managed in the PM system.
Work closely with the country HR Director and L*D Africa/Europe ensures performance management and reward discussions are closely aligned with development discussions at all levels.
Connecting: you connect at all level of the organization and especially with senior management, the country HR managers to ensure adoption of the Learning and Development Philosophy

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
4-8 years of experience in similar role or related field such as (Performance & Development; Senior HR), ideally in a telecommunications / digital company.
Ability to facilitate leadership programs, or other programs such business related ( sales, customer service etc.) is a plus
Intellectual maturity and sensitivity to strike a balance between employee & organization interests
You are fluent in English (French being an advantage)
You love to work in a muti cultural and fast moving company, change is like your second nature
You have good project management skills but at the same time you can operate on operational level
You are client focused and are at your best within an innovative, entrepreneurial environment
