You are responsible for developing the Millicom Tanzania Network strategy and roadmap in line with the overall Group Strategic direction & projects to ensure they meet business objectives, developing high standard, high performing, efficient, optimal and reliable Network Architecture in line with international standards and identifying technology trends that will support and enable the success of the business in order to contribute to the overall profitable growth of the company. S/he execute planning and creation of well-designed network plans, create and manage the capital execution plan of the company in accordance with the company guidelines and executing on the planning with robust rollout methodologies and execution according to the company plans

Key Responsibilities
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage overall Network Planning and Technical Projects Engineering & Management
- Planning and Implementation of key strategic decisions of the local company
- Ensuring successful Network Rollout and Projects on time and within budget
- Responsible for overall network planning and dimensioning of the network
- Future proof network planning with strict adherence to reduce wasteful expenditure
- Ensuring strictest levels of planning according to international standards and group policy
- End to End involvement and interaction of all stake holders (Commercial, IT, Customer Operations, others, etc.) in the planning process
- Constant reviews with Group and Local stakeholders
- Managing the relationship and interaction with Commercial and other teams in the planning process
- Managing the technical communications between all stakeholders (Local and Group)
- Managing Radio Frequency Engineering
- Coordinate Planning of Cellular Network (All Radio – 2G/3G/LTE, Core, Transport – Transmission, IP, Microwave)
- Responsible for Switch Dimensioning and Engineering
- Inventory Management of Technical and Network items and movement including Capacity Management
- Preparation of Technical Budget and expenditure
- Overall coordinator of all CAPEX and owner of CAPEX dashboard
- Management and building of Network teams with skilled resources
- Owner of all Network contracts (3rd parties, etc.)
- Liaison with suppliers on various technical matters
- Preparation of key Reports
Position Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Telecommunication or related engineering experience (Mobile advantageous)
- MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data to provide management recommendations
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills (spoken and written)
- Analytical and critical thinker
- Proven leadership ability (lead, mentor, train)
- Fluent in English
- 10 – 15 Years Telecommunication or related engineering experience (Mobile advantageous)
- 5 - 8 years as a Senior Manager (CTO, CTIO, Network Director or similar)
- Program or Project Management experience (large roll out and complex projects)
- Management in a multi-cultural organization and resources
