Objectives: TTCL corporate objective is to be the market leader of quality FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) products/services in Tanzania to all its desired and focused customer segments. Hence, the role holder will be responsible for the product development, product life cycle and marketing of all FMC products within the business solutions portfolio that will ensure product revenue, profit and usage targets are achieved. To develop and implement a strategic product marketing plan in conjunction with product development, marketing communications and brand marketing.
1. Responsible for selection, development and ongoing management of products, services or rate packages and for all aspects of FMC product life cycle management. 2. Responsible to interface with other departments within the organization to convey strategic direction, business leadership and support for FMC products and services. 3. Executes the TTCL marketing plan and is responsible to drive increases in profitable revenue for FMC products and services. 4. To conduct external market analysis, segmentation and differentiation by various research methods including focus groups with the primary goal of identifying strategies to: increase external market share or retain existing market share; enable selection of the external target market for the product or service; determine appropriate distribution channel and respond to variables in the competitive marketplace including forecasting and sensitivity analysis of the options . 5. Responsible for pricing, including setting prices or rates to FMC products or services. This includes costing and economic modeling, revenue forecasting and portfolio profitability. 6. Responsible for promotion/advertising of FMC products and services including forecasting, budgeting and determining the customer segments. 7. To participate in technology planning as the Marketing representative for FMC products/services on business drivers, key markets, customer experience, market demand and industry trending. 8. Ensure FMC key performance indicator for products/services are monitored, achieved and reviewed when n necessary 9. To identify significant areas of risk related to TTCL network, and propose the right solutions. 10. Responsible to lead small projects such as service enhancements and evolutionary portfolio changes. 11. Responsible to identify and represent cross-impacts of FMC products/services and policy decisions between related technologies such as: Wi-Fi, Broadband Data and Internet, Data Centre & Cloud, GPON, Wireless and Voice. 12. Accountable for performance management of employees in the section including setting objectives, providing regular performance feedback and coaching and mentoring to improve performance and maximize employee’s job satisfaction. 13. Accountable for developing the section’s budget within the framework of the corporate budget and monitoring and controlling sectional expenditures to meet the budget and maximize the effective use of TTCL’s financial resources. 14. Implements and exercises delegated authority and any other instructions and directives as may be issued by the management from time to time.
Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, or Electronic Systems Engineering.MBA qualifications in the related qualifications would be an added advantage Minimum 5years of working experience with at least 2 of which should be a manager in a fixed and/or mobile related environment. Thorough knowledge of products, services, processes, procedures in two of the following areas: Wireless Services o Broadband and Internet Services o Voice and Converged Communication Services Customer Premise Equipment (such as IP-PBX’s, phone systems and network equipment) Data Centre and Cloud-based services Database Marketing Principles and Marketing Analytics Proven record in leading and sustaining successful strategic business development. Excellent knowledge of the Tanzania market together with a sound knowledge of mobile money business trends. Proven innovation in the development and implementation of marketing strategies. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with excellent communications, negotiations, report writing, presentations and problem solving skills High degree of integrity, honest with ethical values and self confidence with ability to work independent, organize and lead a team and make decision.
