Job Title: Procurement Accountant

Report To: Procurement Manager

Objectives:
To institute effective control of procurement processes, stock movements, operating budgets and payments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To ensure adherence to financial and accounting processes and procedures including procurement annual plan budget and advise Procurement Manager as appropriate.
2. To monitor and ensure compliance with Authority levels, delegated authority and TTCL’s payments system.
3. To ensure procurements costs are correctly captured, allocated and posted in the Company’s books of accounts/system.
4. To validate and authenticate the payment claims supporting documents and advice Procurement Manager as appropriate.
5. To monitor movement of stocks and inventories from receipt, issuance, transfers and payments.
6. To check and verify purchase orders and ensure requests for purchase details are accurate before releasing/posting.
7. To prepare and maintain updated list of the pending suppliers and debtors invoices.
8. To undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Procurement Manager.
Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Commerce or Business Administration majoring in Accounting/Finance/Commerce.
CPA (T), ACCA or equivalent qualification recognized by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
Three (3) years experience in dealing with procurement accounting or a similar field in a business entity
Computer literacy with strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills. High degree of integrity, honest and ethical values.
