Key Responsibilities
Towards the Business, Customers and Learners
• Understand business needs and to implement suitable and effective learning solutions within reasonable timeframes and costs.
• Engage in performance consulting conversations with the Business, at all levels – identification of learning and performance needs, providing the right and effective solution and use of appropriate channels.
• Create a process of effective pre and post learning engagement for sustainability and for reviewing the impact of Learning
• Appoint Program Managers for all relevant businesses and review the engagement between Program Managers and the Business
• Champion for the concept and practice of Coaching with Managers at all levels
• Timely and effective execution of all Group and Regulatory Roadmap training
• Engaging with Uganda and Tanzania – Small Countries
• Developing a training calendar based on training needs analysis carried out with Business Stakeholders and executing to a plan
• Working with and sharing best practices with Head – Learning Academy West and South.
• Building a Line Trainers Club – to promote a learning culture in the region
Towards Facilitators
• Hiring and Retaining the appropriate profile of facilitators to deliver the Business, HR and Learning Agenda
• Framing and Executing a 70-20-10 Learning framework for the Facilitators development
• Ensure Trainer Certification Standards are followed. Planning and Executing – Critical experiences for facilitators to be CORE certified. To work on development plans for Advanced and Expert Certification
• Engagement and Development of facilitators. Skill Building and constant rejuvenation of facilitator processes, mindsets and techniques
• Capacity Planning and solution creation for gaps / surplus capacity. Monitoring and Reviewing the capacity utilization of the facilitator team against Group Standards.
• Training the trainers, ensuring they are up to date on contemporary sales training processes, methodology.
• Implementing an effective performance management system for the team
• Attending facilitator sessions to ensure standards are being met and to give feedback to facilitators
• Structured 1 on 1 Coaching sessions with all facilitators
• Engaging the Facilitators – understanding their objectives and strengthening the communication and working relationship between the Group and the Region / Country.
Facilitation & delivery
• Facilitate required function, segment-specific, Leadership and Management Development programmes in country / region aligned to Group.
• Delivering learning for around 8 days per month
Towards Governance, Audit, Process, MIS, Analytics, Budgets
• Embedding principles of Sales Governance, Group Learning Framework
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory – Group and Local guidelines
• Ensure that the Learning Team is Audit Ready - all Audits / compliance reviews are cleared.
• Follow up and execution of the Self Assessment Checklist.
• To continuously review MIS and take informed decisions
• Be aware of the budgeting cycles and trends by engaging with Finance and managing budgets.
• Using MIS to review Budgets, take proactive decisions regarding investments and cost saves
• Be proactive and manage projects with respect to relocations, migration of processes, introduction of new technologies like SABA cloud
Towards Group Learning Team and Regional and Country Learning Heads
• Working and collaborating with the Group Learning team to co-create Business solutions
• Structured and informal communication network with the Group Learning Team
• Active involvement in relevant Group Projects like SABA Cloud, On-boadring, Line Trainer Certification, Right Start Live and Online.
