RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Chief, Central Support Services Officer, and under the overall guidance of the Director, Division of Programme Support, the Associate Procurement Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
EDUCATION: A first-level university degree in business administration, public administration, commerce, engineering, law or a related field.
Note: Candidates with an advanced university degree in business administration, public administration, commerce, engineering, law or a related field may be considered with two years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, contract management, administration or related area.
WORK EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, contract management, administration or related area.
LANGUAGES: Advanced knowledge of English with a working knowledge of French. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good IT skills (MS Office). Knowledge of internationally recognized procurement standards and practices. Familiarity with the United Nations Financial Regulations and Rules and the United Nations Procurement Policy and Practices.
