The Sugar Board of Tanzania (SBT) is a regulatory body of the Sugar Industry in Tanzania established under section 3 of the Sugar Industry Act No. 26 of 2001. Key regulatory functions performed by the Board include: quality control and licensing; data collection, analysis and dissemination; market information; enforcement of law and order; making and enforcing rules and regulations for proper production, processing, marketing, setting D indicative prices, importation and storage of sugarcane and sugar inputs and products.
SBT is inviting' applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered to fill the following vacant position-
Assistant Human Resources & Administration Officer II -1 POST
Qualification
Graduate in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or Business Administration (Human resources) or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administering SBT motor vehicles including monitoring of usage, allocation of fuel, repair and
maintenance;
Purchasing fuel and oil for the SBT generator as requested and monitor its usage, repair and maintenance;
Administering utility services such as water, elevator, phone and electricity by ensuring that the bills are
correct and settled on time;
Processing leave applications and monitoring of leave dues and appropriate records;
Maintaining and updating regularly personnel records;
Enforcing staff regulations, code of conduct' and updating of the same;
Monitoring staff attendance to work place, inspection of registers and compilation of weekly SBT staff returns;
Ensuring that each SBT staff is provided with a comprehensive job description;
Administering staff welfare matters in the Board;
Coordinating training of SBT junior staff as per the approved Training Programme:
Performing any other duty as may be directed/assigned.
