The PwC Middle East strategy team currently has an opportunity for experienced strategy advisors who wish to join a high performing team focused on providing corporate strategy advice and commercial due diligence for our clients.
Our team is based in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) and Qatar (Doha), with a mandate to cover the entire Middle Eastern region. While travel may occur, it will be sporadic and will never be for more than 2-3 weeks at a time (given the standard length of our projects) with an option to return your home office for weekends.
The role requires a deep interest in business, a problem-solving mindset, managing teams, client management, as well as a wide range of responsibilities from client service to business development. You will work on client projects with responsibility for managing the team and liaising with clients; you will also play a pivotal role in business development. Previous strategy consulting experience (either within industry, consulting or related industries) is required.

Strategy works with a wide variety of large and mid-tier corporate clients, private equity clients, and sovereign wealth funds.We evaluate business plans and company strategies against market performance and competitor strength, to deliver a rigorous appraisal of a business’s commercial outlook.
The Senior Manager and Director can specialise in corporate or deals strategy, or choose to undertake a mix of projects across both areas. The role provides the individual with significant development opportunities.

Client assignments
- The primary role of a Senior Manager or Director is to have control of the day to day running of the project. This involves project scoping, developing the team’s work plan, structuring the content of the deliverable, reviewing the output produced by the team and driving the conclusions.
- The Senior Manager / Director will also have responsibility for day to day contact with the client and other stakeholders and will usually be tasked with presenting the bulk of findings to the client.
- The Senior Manager / Director will report directly to a Partner.
Business development
- Sector expertise: you will be expected to drive thought-leadership and business development as well as building your own personal sector knowledge.
- You will be expected to start to develop and maintain your own client relationships and to participate in pitching activity and scoping new assignments.
- You may also be asked to contribute to media activity and act as a spokesperson for PwC Strategy
Internal responsibilities
Senior Managers and Directors also have an important role in contributing to the running of the PwC Strategy business by taking an active involvement in people management, recruitment, training, knowledge management and thought leadership.
Requirements
You will be joining a relatively new team, which has the backing of the Middle Eastern and UK practices, and therefore the experience and support of the PwC brand and expertise. We are therefore looking for motivated individuals who will wish to hone their skills, demonstrate their capabilities, train junior members of the team and seek promotion.

Qualifications / Skills
- Previous strategy consulting experience from either a pure strategy consulting firm, Big 4 firm or the strategy department of a leading corporate
- We expect candidates to have strong academic and A-level (or equivalent) results, be educated to degree level and have demonstrated a pattern of exceptional achievement
- Analytical and Project management skills including the ability to manage day to day running of projects (including more than one project at a time), coaching more junior team members and liaising with/presenting to clients
- Business development skills including the ability to maintain/develop your own client relationships and participate in pitching activity
- An ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively .
Desirable skills
Arab speaker is preferred, but not essential
