Chemonics seeks a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) specialist for an anticipated five-year, DFID-funded East and Southern Africa project, to based in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and operated throughout the region. The project aims to increase the number of individuals benefiting from participation in national and cross-border staple value chains by increasing agricultural trade and marketing of staple foods. The M&E specialist will contribute to project strategies, and provide expertise and technics in monitoring and evaluation on staple foods market systems development. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Qualifications:
- Degree in agricultural economics, communications, or other relevant field
- Experience with implementing M&E systems for agriculture and/or regional trade donor-funded projects
- Demonstrated experience developing M&E tools and systems, including log frames, results chains, and intervention maps
- Experience training partners and beneficiaries on data collection and results reporting
- Proven track record working with team members to incorporate results reporting requirements into grants and subcontracts agreements
- Experience working on past DFID projects strongly preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluent English required
