Other Criteria à Must know the locations of supplies, equipments, and furniture and property items stored in the warehouse by sight, oral description, National stock No. or NEPA number. Must learn the location of offices and residences and basic General Service Office procedures. ◊ Must be able to perform moderate physical labor and operate material handling equipment (MHE) |

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION This is one of four Crew Leader positions that directly supervise a crew of warehousemen that receive, deliver and store furniture and supplies and other manual supply duties. Supervision is provided by the Warehouse NXP Operations Supervisor. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES % OF TIME 60%Upon receipt of incoming shipments of furniture, supplies and equipment locates items in warehouse storage areas and transfers them to loading area utilizing material handling equipment such as forklift, hand truck or pallet jack Inspects these items for damage and cleanliness to ensure they are in proper condition for issuance. Prepares furniture and equipment for transfer by covering items with protective wrappings and carefully loading and securing items in Embassy vehicles for transport. Upon deliver y coordinates with receiving parties for security checks as required for proper placement. Unloads vehicles using proper handling equipment to avoid damage. Offloads supplies, furniture and equipment being received at the warehouse for storage and utilizes handling equipment to position in the proper areas based on the storage plan, stacking requirements and floor load capacity. Inspects items for damage and cleanliness and provides protective coverings for long-term storage. Moves and repositions items between warehouse storage areas as required and ensure items are stored in correct locations. Assists in inventory of expendable items and non-expendable items. 20%Keeps storage areas, warehouse spaces and stored items clean by dusting, sweeping, washing and disposing of trash. Informs the warehouse supervisor of any fire or safety hazards, pest infestations, water intrusion or other conditions that may cause employee injury, or damage to stored materials. Performs minor maintenance such as wall and floor patching and painting and other duties as required by the warehouse supervisor, warehouse manager or supervisory GSO. 20%Directs a crew of over 15 warehousemen in the performance of daily duties. Receives instruction/direction from the warehouse supervisor and/or assistant supervisors and coordinates the efforts of crew to complete assigned tasks. May perform any other duties as assigned.
