General Information
The Commonwealth Foundation is an intergovernmental body that seeks to strengthen civil society across the Commonwealth so that it can promote democracy, advance sustainable development and foster intercultural understanding. The grants programme has a £1m pound budget which is currently distributed through three major funding streams:
- Civil Society Responsive Grants
- Commonwealth Association Grants and
- The Special Grants Initiative
The Commonwealth Foundation is undergoing a comprehensive review of its grants programme, and will launch a refreshed and revitalised programme in July 2012.
Role Summary
Under the guidance of the Grants Programme Manager, your role will be to support the review of the grants programme and to provide administrative support. Tasks will include both Grants Research and Administration.
The successful candidate will need to have knowledge strong research and anaylitcal skills along with good communication skills. Use of Microsoft Office and attention to detail are also key parts of the role. Database experience is also essential.
The allowance for this internship will be £50 per day.
The role is based in London at Marlborough House in Central London.
This role is for a period of 3 months, 4 days a week. Exact hours to be discussed at interview.
